To<\/span> fulfill its mission<\/span> to optimize<\/span> the management<\/span> of CML<\/span> and<\/span> MPN<\/span> by developing tools<\/span>, approaches and methods, the CML-MPN Quebec Research Group<\/span> realized the importance<\/span> of  developing <\/span>registries.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Interest of the registries in CML and MPN<\/h2>\n

  1. \n
    CML<\/span> and<\/span> MPN<\/span> are considered<\/span> relatively<\/span> rare diseases<\/span> and cases are<\/span> scattered<\/span> in several centers.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  2. Target<\/span> therapies used<\/span> in<\/span> these neoplasms<\/span> have<\/span> novel mechanisms of action<\/span>, are<\/span> of recent<\/span> onset and<\/span> represent a high cost<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  3. There is little data on « off-study » population (co-morbidity impact ? poly-pharmacy impact ?)<\/li>\n
  4. Long term side effects in a large population are unknown.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    As a tool that provides<\/span> a<\/span> real-time picture<\/span> of the<\/span> clinical<\/span> condition of <\/span><\/span>« <\/span>off-<\/span>study » <\/span>patients<\/span> <\/span><\/h3>\n
